I think Irish just says "Eat it": Ith é sin duit féin "Eat up." Tabhair leat anois é "Eat it." Or perhaps: Go maire tú an béile. "May you survive the meal."

There's also good old "bain/bainigí sult as." I would think that would work, as usually when you wish someone "Boun Appetito/Bon Appetite" you're expressing a hope that they will enjoy the meal.

The above, and I would personally say "go ndeana sé maitheas dhuit". Which you can say with other things other than food too ofcourse.

Reminds me of a saying in my husband's Mennonite family. It's in Low German, which I don't speak, but it translates to "May it be better than it is."  Redwolf
