Yes youre right its an idiomatic version of beauty in English so it doesnt really correspond with áilleacht. Maybe Is é bua an ghrásta go bhfágann sé leatrom sa saol

Thanks for all the help guys! Unfortunately no one is seeming to completely agree. I had a friend's grandfather translate for me and he said he thought it should be, "Is é an la ailleacht cuannacht oibríu fhónann saol ní cothrom." Can anyone confirm that?

Pure gibberish. Roughly, it translates to:

"It is the day beauty comeliness to work [no idea what "fhónann" is supposed to be. It looks like someone tried to make a verb out of the noun "fón" (phone) and then confused the present and the past tense!] life is not balance."

I'm wondering how someone could even come up with that? Even plugging words from a dictionary into English syntax would make more sense (and I can't believe I actually just said that!).

"The beauty of (something)" in this context is an English idiom which doesn't carry word for word into English.

Another suggestion:

"Is é an rud is fearr faoin Grásta ná go ndéanann sé an saol mífhéaráilte"

However it still sounds clumsy, but so does the original English sentence if I may dare to say.
