Tosaímid agus críochnaímid leis an muintir.
Tosaímid agus críochnaímid leis an teaghlach. Not everyone agrees on this, but in Irish, teaghlach usually refers to the folks in your household, whereas muintir can refer to a broader category of people (depending on the context, it can mean your whole family or clan, beyond just the ones in your home, or even your tribe or your “people”). If you happen to mean just your children and other descendants, then clann is also a possibility: Tosaímid agus críochnaímid leis an gclann Corrected as breandán mentions below. I'm still a learner, so be sure to get input from others, especially for tattoos.

Kevin, wouldn't it be leis an muintir (except in the north, of course)? Irish Learners' Forum (http://irishlearner.awyr.com/) A place to learn Irish together and get accurate human translations, including translations for tattoos. |

murray46, I've merged your threads, because your new request is just a modification to the previous one. It will be best if we can see what has already been done for the second part.
