Ba chóir dúinn tacú leo siúd atá go mór in ísle brí
Tá an chuma ar an scéal go bhfuil impleachtaí an chúlaithe eacnamaíochta le feiceáil ag ionad Rutland.
Tá ardú tagtha ar líon na ndaoine atá ag cuardach cabhrach ann agus is scéal brónach é nach bhfuil an t-árachas leighis ná an t-airgead a theastaíonn chun an cúram sin a fháil ag cuid acu.
Léirigh taighde a rinneadh in 2006 go raibh fadhb le mí-úsáid substainte ag 60 faoin gcéad de na daoine a chuir lámh ina mbás féin sa tír seo.
Dá mbeadh an chabhair cheart faighte acu in am seans go mbeadh cuid de na daoine sin fós linn anois.
Bunaíodh an t-ionad Rutland sa bhliain 1978 agus thar na blianta, tá cabhair faighte ag na mílte daoine ó áiteanna ar fud na tíre ann.
Is maith an rud é go bhfuil an meon i leith andúile sa tír seo feabhsaithe.
Is féidir le daoine a admháil anois go dteastaíonn cabhair uathu, rud nach mbíonn éasca a dhéanamh.
Tá áiteanna ar nós ionad Rutland ag tabhairt deis eile do dhaoine atá in ísle brí agus ba cheart go mbeadh tacaíocht á tabhairt dóibh.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRANSLATION:
We should support those who are very depressed
It seems that the implications of the economic recession can be seen at the Rutland Centre.
The number of people seeking help there has increased, and it is sad that the health insurance and the money needed for this care is unavailable for some.
Research done in 2006 indicated that 60 percent of those who killed themselves in this country had a substance abuse problem.
If they had received the proper help in time perhaps some of those people would be still with us now.
The Rutland Centre was founded in 1978 and over the years thousands of people from all over the country have received help there.
It is good that the attitude to addiction has improved in this country.
People can now admit that they need help, something which is not easy to do.
Places like the Rutland centre give people who are depressed another chance and they should be supported.
