I've been trying to steer away from lenition where I can though, as we all know what announcers are likely to do to "bhán." Another I'd thought of was "Sála Bhána" (White Heels).

I wouldn't try to spell them correctly for racehorses - just use the phonics. Maybe Rayltawon (or RAIL-to-WON) for Réalta Bhán.

No, not at all. In Canada we can't use apostrophes but they can in the U.S. You guys are doing really well and it seems to be a good game for you. I like the white heels one. I just wish announcers could pronounce the Gaelic words.

What about 'No Matter What' or 'Dreams Come True' or anything with the Muscle in it?

How much difference between the Irish and the Scottish? I have more of a Scottish background but this is the first and best site I've come across to learn and discuss the language before. Well done to whoever it was that started it or are the administrators.

And keep up the good work with the racehorse names guys!! Love it!!

Scottish Gaelic and Irish are related, but different languages. The closest analog I can think of is Spanish vs. Portuguese...the close relationship is obvious, but the differences significant enough for them to be considered different languages rather than dialects.

Sála: SAH-luh.

and you can see where the 'dream' is a vision or bed dream type.

Any other suggestions? I still like 'Bright Eyes' also and let then try to pronounce it. They would all have to contact me on how to do it, which isn't so bad.

(Grammar note for translators: Adjective only lenites after slender consonant in plural.)
