Hi! This is my first time on thus forum. I used google translator to attempt to translate a poem I wrote from English to Gaelic. I would like to write it in Gaelic here and ask anyone who would be willing to please translate what you read back into English so I can see how it reads in Gaelic. Thank you in advance!

Ní féidir liom a bheith i briongloídigh
Ní féidir liom a bheith i cuma
Ach is féidir iad a bheith a ra
i bhí i mo bhealach
Mo bhealach de ra

Does this make any sense?!

Google translator is only useful to get the gist of something in another language, not to compose text. It is easier if you just tell us what you want to say. I think I can tell what some of your phrases were meant to be, but some I have no idea about.

Ní féidir liom [a] bheith i mbriongloídí
I cannnot be in dreams

Ní féidir liom [a] bheith i cuma
I cannot be in ??? [if you meant "in shape", that won't work]

Ach is féidir leo [a] bheith ag rá
But they can be talking

bhí i mo bhealach
she/it was in my path/way

Mo bhealach de ra
This makes no sense. I'm guessing that you meant "It was in my way of talking" by this ansd the preceding sentence, but it didn't work.

I'm still a learner, so be sure to get input from others, especially for tattoos.

Wow thank you! Yeah that's not at all what I meant it to say!! The poem goes:

Not in dreaming can I be
Not in seeming can I be
But in being I can be
And in doing I can say
I had my way
My way of saying

I'm hoping I might get some help translating thus poem into Irish garlic. Thanks do much for any help!

Just want to apologize for starting new threads. I'm new to this and didn't mean to cause confusion! :-) I think I went about my question the wrong way by first posting my poem in what I thought was a Irish Gaelic translation! I'm looking for a correct translation. Thanks for the help!

Perhaps:

Ní sa bhrionglóidí ar fhéidir liom bheith ann
Ní sa mhórchúis ar fhéidir liom bheith ann
Ach ag eiseadh ar fhéidir liom bheith ann
Agus ag déanamh ar fhéidir liom rá
Go raibh mo nós féin agam
Mo nós féin ráite

The verb "to be", and particularly the gerund "being", must be one of the hardest concepts in English to put into irish. :/

This will definitely need reworking ...

Thank you very much for your time. I figured the concept of 'being' would be difficult. I'll keep working with it. Thanks.
