Hi!

I plan on getting a tattoo and would like for it to say "The Pursuit of Happiness" in Gaelic. If I could get a good consensus of what the proper translation is, I would greatly appreciate it. :)

I would go with this one. :gut: "Happiness" here is an abtract concept and so I would expect the definite article in the middle.

The phrase could also be capitalised like this:

Tóraíocht an tSonais (note that it is the S which is in upper case in the last word, not the t.)

Tóraíocht an tSonais
TOOR-ree-ukht uh TON-ush ("toor" rhymes with "door"; "ton" rhymes with "on")

Such troubles with the solitary article in Irish! And people think German articles are a pain in the ass! :lol:
