mhwombat you are exactly right, its something my grandad use to say to me before he passed away, basically if you believe in something you can acheive it but not without effort and hardwork, i personally see a connection. Caffler i didnt ask for anyone else to personally see a connection between the sayings just thought this was somewhere i could get it translated, so thanks for the input.

Anyone else have an opinion? I suppose you could clarify the second by saying "Gach ní nuair a bhíonn muinín agat asat féin" Any thoughts for the OP?
