I am writing a fiction novel about Irish magic. I need to know how to translate Book of Shadows to Irish, or if there is another term the Irish would use for such a thing, I would love to hear it!
Thanks,
Monique

There's not much of a connection between Irish and that as far as I can remember, but I'd take a stab at:
Leabhar (na) Scáileanna/Scáthanna I don't have a dictionary at hand and can't remember what the nuances are. The 'na' in brackets is 'the'. It might be needed for grammatical purposes anyway (Book of the Shadows), but if you wanted to say The Book of Shadows it would be Leabhar na Scáileanna/Scáthanna. Book of the Shadows, the Book of Shadows, the Book of the Shadows are all the same thing in Irish. |
