we are speaking of people - as in my family!!! thanks!!
Well, here are some possibilities:
Cosain do mhuintir [If said to one person]
Cosnaígí bhur muintir[eacha] [If said to more than one person]
Protect your family/folks/people/tribe
Adding the
eacha in the second one would indicate that each person being addressed is to protect his/her own family/group/whatever.
Cosain na daoine is leatsa [If said to one person]
Cosnaígí na daoine is libhse [If said to more than one person]
Protect your people [the people who are yours] [here it is "people" in the literal sense]
I was still typing when Red answered. Her idea of adding
féin to
Cosain do mhuintir is a good one.
I'm still a learner, so be sure to get input from others, especially for tattoos.
