Irish Translation Forum

Greetings folks! Another newby. Can anyone supply the lyrics in Irish (and a translation in English) of the song/hymn A Iosa sung by Jerry Lynch on his CD Dimming of the Day. I can make out some of the words but my last Irish lessons were in 1948 when I left Cork!

Thanks BridMhor for the transcription and translation. I have the Jerry Lynch CD and the first 2 lines you sent seem on the CDto be a chorus. He goes on to sing two verses as I've tried to convey below. If you can transfer my efforts into Irish and add a translation I'd be most grateful.
Chorus: A Iosa etc
Verse 1 "Noch mawna shiv liom//der un tiarna linn//skweeragee booresha//sway vis boora dee//
Chorus: A Iosa etc
Verse 2 "Is bannion te a credgin//der un tiarna linn//Egashiv unallow show may//In eevas borr hish//

Good job, relic. I'd never have guessed those last two lines from what was given (I forgot to try the last line anyway)!
