Live like you were Dying.

Literally, you could use:
Mair amhail is dá mbeafá ag fáil bháis
but a usual recommendation on this forum is to use caith do shaol in lieu of mair, as in::
Caith do shaol amhail is dá mbeafá ag fáil bháis
with caith do shaol literally meaning "spend your life", but sounding more natural in context.

Less literally, but sounding even more natural, is the following, offered in another thread:
Caith do shaol amhail is dá n-éagfá inniu
Live as if you would die today

just another idea

mair mar a marófaí tú
live as though you'd be killed

but definitely wait on more

Yes. I wasn't thinking of death as a direct object here, but you're right that it really is, given the structure of the idiom.

this is a calcified expression from medieval Irish. ag baint mhóna also remained as well as others
