4 million plays on Irish-Sayings.com
This month, Irish-Sayings.com (our sister site), reached a total of 4 million audio plays/downloads. That’s an average of 2191 plays per day during the last five years.
The site started in 2002, and originally featured around 200 recordings. In 2006, new recordings were added for Connacht and Ulster dialects, which should be a great aid for learners.
In May 2007, I added new categories, and rearranged the site for better accessibility. There’s now a total of 464 phrases, and over 900 recordings.
Thanks to all the listeners over the past five years!

hy!!
My name is Tony. I`m a student from Croatia, and I`m very fond of celtic culture.
So I was wondering would you be so kind and translate “I hate emotions” and “beer angel” into gaelic, for me?
Of course, if it`s OK with you?
You have cool blog. I`ve read on you profile that you translate english into gaelic. I`m so sorry if I misunderstand something…
I also have a blog, http://aldaron.blog.hr/, it`s on croatian, but there are some celtic rock songs…
bye!!!
Hope to get your answer…

I was raised in a Irish house by Irish parents. My sister and myself remember
some of them saying we were narrow backs. We would like to know what
it means.
