Rest In Peace
In Irish, the equivalent to “Rest in Peace” literally means “May his/her sould be on God’s right-hand side”.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam (if it’s a male deceased)
/err yesh day guh rev ah ahnam/
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam (female)
/err yesh day guh rev ah hahnam/

Lord’s Prayer in Irish
Ár nAthair atá ar neamh,
Our Father, who art in Heaven
go naofar d’ainm;
hollowed be thy Name
go dtaga do ríocht;
Thy kingdom come
go ndéantar do thoil ar an talamh
Thy will be done on earth
mar a dhéantar ar neamh.
as it is in Heaven
Ár n-arán laethúil tabhair dúinn inniu;
give us this day our daily bread
agus maith dúinn ár bhfiacha
and forgive us our trespasses
mar a mhaithimidne dár bhféichiúna féin;
as we forgive those who trespass against us
agus ná lig sinn i gcathú,
and lead us not into temptation
ach saor sinn ó olc. Amen.
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Serenity Prayer
[God] grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference
[A Dhia], bronn orm suaimhneas chun glacadh leis na rudaí nach féidir liom a athrú, misneach chun na rudaí a athrú is féidir liom, agus ciall chun an difríocht a aithint.
